are a local community recovery charity who is committed to bringing those affected by addiction into a place of recovery. 

Their vision is to:

  • See those in addiction/recovery become rooted in a recovery community 
  • A strong recovery community which allows each individual to grow and find freedom 

Mission: 

  • Provide a community to help everyone stay in recovery and prevent social isolation 
  • Encourage those in addiction/recovery through sharing inspiring stories 
  • Help those in addiction/recovery to understand what trauma is/emotional triggers/pathways to healing 
  • Tailor everyone’s journey to allow them to be empowered in their recovery journey

SWRC believe and we know recovery is possible! 

SWRC understand how multi-faceted recovery is, everyone’s journey is unique, they believe a joint approach together with local agencies to help and explore different routes is crucial  to each individual’s recovery journey. 

What do SWRC do?

SWRC offer:

  • A recovery community 
  • A safe place to share 
  • A monthly recovery cafe open to all
  • Support for those in addiction
  • Support for those in recovery 
  • Help for families/friends of those in addiction/recovery 
  • Help to support you find a rehabilitation placement that may meet your needs 
  • Weekly drop-in clinics in Dumfries 
  • Monthly drop-in clinics in Annan
  • Family events
