Recovery Coaching to be provided in Dumfries and Galloway​

We are delighted to advise that Recovery Coaching Scotland will be providing free Self-Coaching in Dumfries & Galloway.
 
Recovery Coaching Scotland have been delivering the Self-Coaching training  in the Scottish Borders for around 18 months, they also deliver the same course across four prisons in the Central Belt and have Recovery Coaches embedded in some establishments.
 
Dumfries and Galloway ADP  funded Recovery Coaching Scotland to deliver two cohorts of up to 15 learners over the next six months in a central location and with lunch and travel expenses provided for candidates. Referrals were accepted for any person who is in recovery from substance use, poor mental health or has recently engaged with the justice system. 
 
The course is highly suitable for people at any stage of recovery, who wish to become more resilient, learn knew skills and step out of their comfort zone! The training is delivered by people with lived experience, in a fun and structured manner, every session is interactive and encourages you to reflect on and share your own recovery journey, using the concepts you will be learning. The certificate in Self-Coaching is a Ten session course in Recovery Self-Management, it covers many Recovery Coaching Concepts and builds a knowledge base for individuals to manage their own recovery. Although the training is non-accredited, the materials have previously been assessed to SCQF Level 5 equivalent.
 
Referrals for the Self-Coaching course has now been closed as all spaces have been filled.
